Do you love dogs? Have you ever wanted to help The Seeing Eye with the puppies they raise to be guide dogs? Now is your chance as Jill Jaycox of The Seeing Eye in Morristown will speak about being a Seeing Eye puppy raiser at the Morristown & Morris Township Library on Each year approximately five hundred Seeing Eye puppies are placed with volunteer puppy raising families throughout New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and parts of Maryland and New York. Until a Seeing Eye dog is ready for training, it spends its time with a "foster family," a family that gives the puppy love, gentle guidance, teaches the puppy basic commands and exposes them to a variety of social situations they will later encounter as guides.

Indictment: Morristown Man Attempted Murder During Robbery

A Morristown man who was charged in March with attempted murder during an alleged robbery earlier this year has been indicted by a grand jury on the charge, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced Friday. Brandon Johnson, 23, was indicted on one count of first degree attempted murder; two counts of first degree robbery; one count of fourth degree conspiracy to possess a controlled dangerous substance; and one count of second degree unlawful possession of a weapon along with other weapons-related offenses.

Huge cocaine bust: 16 arrested in alleged network spanning NJ and NYC

Authorities have arrested 16 people they say operated a cocaine distribution network that spanned several New Jersey counties as well as New York City. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office said the investigation - ultimately involving authorities in Passaic, Bergen, Hudson and Union counties - began in April because of intelligence gathered by an "astute Morristown Bureau of Police patrolman."

7 Morris County Men Arrested, $93K Worth of Cocaine Seized in Interstate Drug Bust

Fifteen men and one woman from New York and New Jersey were arrested Wednesday after a five-month long investigation into an interstate drug distribution ring, seizing nearly 1,000 grams of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana and more than $7,000 in cash, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced. An investigation began in April based on information collected by an "astute" Morristown policeman, Knapp said, and was done in conjunction with multiple agencies across five counties in New York and New Jersey, including the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force.
