Judge won't sentence Rock Falls man in fatal DUI
MORRISON – Because the court had failed to handle a request for a mental evaluation, a judge refused today to sentence a Rock Falls man who had pleaded guilty to killing a pedestrian while driving drunk.
Newly seated Mayor Everett Pannier, after a brief closed session at the end of a relatively short City Council meeting, announced Monday that he would not renew the city administrator's contract.
