Off-duty officer credited with Hernandez arrest
Cory Lay was off-duty when he spotted Rojelio Hernandez. Cory Lay of the Brown County Sheriffa s office was off-duty when he heard scanner traffic indicating Amber Alert suspect Rojelio Hernandez was driving through Hiawatha.
The search for a missing Marion County teen ended Thursday in Hiawatha when an employee of Morrill and Janes bank recognized the girl and made a call to Brown County dispatch, said Brown County Sheriff John Merchant.
