Lawmakers split over whether to count illegal immigrants in Census

The approach of next year's national population survey is rekindling a longstanding debate over whether to count undocumented immigrants.

Inland Southern California's congressional delegation is divided on the issue, which holds huge fiscal and political implications for California.

The question re-emerged early last month in the Senate, where Sens. Davis Vitter, R-La, and Robert Bennett, R-Utah, offered a measure requiring people responding to the 2010 census to state whether they are American citizens. Their aim: to ensure illegal immigrants are not included in the data that governs the apportionment of congressional districts and the distribution of federal funding

.

"The law is the law and illegal immigrants should not be counted in the U.S. census because they are not U.S. citizens or legal residents," said Rep. Ken Calvert, R-Corona.

Delbert (Raul) Wilson Attends Ironwood Meeting

At the meeting held Monday night to hear the public's concerns over the issue of widening Ironwood Avenue, Delbert (Raul) Wilson took the stage to voice his opinion on the topic.

However in this loudmouth racist ever so arrogant ways, he took the stance he his best known for, and used his time to speak to call others in attendance racists.

If that wasn't enough for him, he even lied to the public as to his residential address by claiming he lived at the intersection of Nason Street and Ironwood.

However he lives on Judge Ward Ct., between Graham and Heacock Streets, miles away from the location he claimed to live.

Not surprising however was the total silence from the two Moreno Valley city council members who were in attendance and conducting the public forum.

You would think that out of accuracy, and the public's right to participate in a truthful debate over this important issue, that at least council member Jesse Molina would have corrected this blatant, and misleading lie perpetrated by Delbert Wilson. However that was not the case, and he knows full well the location in which Delbert lives, after all his campaign was ran from that same residence.

School Board Member Victoria Baca's, Trial Continued to January 19, 2010 at 8:30 AM in Dept. 62.

This is a stalling tactic used by defense attorney's knowing that the charges don't warrant the amount of monies this will cause the people. This will normally lead to a dropping of the charges in the best interest of the people.

It has been six months from the date of her arrest, a demurrer was filed in the case on her behalf (which failed), she is no newbie to the court system, so why the need for the defense to seek a delay?

Again I take issue with the sealing of the police reports themselves. Who are they protecting, themselves or an elected official? What do the reports contain which they feel should be kept from the public?
