hey this might seem weird but if you are not of the catholic faith why call it christmas tree
look up the true meaning of christmas it is a catholic mass which is called christ mass it repsents the rising of the fir tree when nahbob was buried and because it grew as a triangle it repsents the beginning of the trinity doctorin \which was contray to the catholic church at that time and they changed their beliefs to beliving in 3 gods instead of god almighty think im wrong go to the encycolpidas dictionarys search it out then read the true story of christ birth in matthew a true saint of god really should not participate in the christmas celebration unless you are of the catholic faith |

When you look at your tree this Christmas season, take in what all it means and stands for; it's a special symbol. It doesn't really matter where the tradition started and with whom. Celebrate the gift of life and your loved ones. Call it whatever you like, just remember to CELEBRATE! Love, peace, and happiness to all!

i used to enjoy christmas but after the years it really has lost its meaning to lots of people i remember lighting the tree i always thought it was beautiful but now it is mostly a gift getting
thing with people and a time to mend hard feelings for a few days noone hardly ever celebrates it in honor of god anymore its a greedy world more sucides are reported to happen around christmas time so many people gets depressed i just don,t do christmas anymore after i read some stuff about it it really is not a religious holiday it has to do with the worship of the sun god tradation or not if god is against it so should we he destroyed all the worshippers of ido gods in bible days if it was wrong to worship and participate in their rituals it should be wrong today god said i change not hes the same yesterday today and forever not trying to condem anyone but people will be lost for the lack of knowledge study these things out before judging their is alot in it |

it really is not a religious holiday if you get into it it was tradationed after the idol worship
of baal the sun god it was a time of the year when it was ok to do the things that was wrong and they taught as long as you done it within those 7 days you could get forgiveness it was a time of drunken parties it was also banned in europe in 1800s god destroyed people when they worshipped things offered to other gods he said my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge check it out you can find alot of it on the web the tradition of christmas the true story behind christmas type it in and check it out |

I understand where you are coming from. Too many people think it is all about gifts, which it is, but not the materialistic kind. It is still nice to take time out to celebrate Jesus with our loved ones. Even if you are athiest, it is nice to be with your family, right? My understanding is that God doesn't mind that we have this tradition as long as we dedicate some quality time with Him.

Christmas to me is celebrating the birth of my Savior. He came to earth to save me and went back to heaven to prepare a place for me when it is my time to die. The family dinners, the church dinners, and all the other celebrations just add to the joy I have already for Christ's great gift. It doesn't matter if we have trees or gifts. Christmas comes no matter what.
