Moorestown Police Warn of Money Pak Phone Scam
Moorestown Police have received increased reports of an ongoing telephone scam in which residents and businesses are threatened with the possibility of having their PSE&G service shut unless payment is made via "green dot" payment packs. In the scam, which is being reported across the country and is increasingly targeting small businesses, individuals misrepresenting themselves as PSE&G employees threaten to turn off electric and gas service if payment is not made to them that day.

Moorestown Council Discusses Parking Lot Expansion, Meter Replacement
The Economic Development Advisory Committee made a presentation considering the expansion of the use of parking meters as Moorestown Council considered an expansion of the parking lot across the street from the new town hall at its meeting Monday night. A recent study of the parking meters conducted by EDAC found that the Township collects fees from meters at a rate of 50 percent less than other towns do.

Council to Consider Setting Aside Land for Crop Cultivation, Police Officer Salaries Monday Night
Moorestown Council will consider an ordinance on second reading to modify an easement for fire hydrants, portable water and sanitary sewer in East Gate Square when it meets Monday night, 7 p.m. at the municipal complex. Council will also introduce a resolution authorizing a lease on a portion of the Benner Open Space/Winner Fields and all of The Nagle Tract for the cultivation of crops, as well as an ordinance that amends the portion of township code for the salaries and longevity of patrol officers, detectives, corporals, sergeants and lieutenants.
