Trailhead sculpture dedicated at Tent Rocks

Bureau of Land Management officials and Cochiti Pueblo dignitaries dedicated a sculpture aimed at helping the blind enjoy the landscape at Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument.

Did you not read the whoel thing? They did it to help the visually impaired to experience the hoodoos, since they cant SEE it like we can. I think it is pretty cool! Way to go!

I do believe that they said they are still allowed assistance dogs.

Assistance animals cannot be barred from virtually anywhere, including stores, restaurants, medical centers, etc.

It's *pet* dogs that have been barred from the site.

This is a really nice thing to do for the blind. Tent Rocks hoodoos simply dazzle the mind. It's like being on another, strange planet they are so spectacular. Nice the visually impaired can feel what they look like & not depend on a verbal description.
