To help alleviate possible cash flow issues, the Monticello City Council agreed to transfer a $92,000 certificate of deposit into the general fund until November when property taxes are collected.

There is a possibility that a new nurse will be added to the staff at Monticello Independent, following action taken by board members during their regular monthly meeting Monday evening, September 14.
