A monticello man is injured after a crash in Linn County. The Linn County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Brenton Greif failed to make a turn while traveling on Sawyer Road.

In the final mayoral forum of the 2009 campaign, candidate Ron Corbett said Friday, if elected, he will ask the City Council to put City Manager Jim Prosser under a 90-day assessment "to see how he performs." Nearly one foot of rain fell in areas of Iowa Thursday and Friday causing extreme flash flooding in several counties, according to the National Weather Service in Davenport, IA.

It's been three days since flash flooding tore through parts of Eastern Iowa. After two days of heavy rain, portions of Linn, Jones and Johnson counties were forced to sandbag and even evacuate some places.

The Jones County Sheriff's Department says residents on Division Street in Anamosa and along the Wapsipinicon River are under an optional evacuation order due to flash flooding.

Jones County is in a state of emergency. Some there say this flooding is worse than anything they saw last year.
