Fairfield is fast becoming the next Vallejo as the crud spreads beyond other borders.

Best hire the next Chief with that in mind and not this PC crap that has ruined many a fine city.

Stop following the same old pattern and hoping that large salaries will solve our problems.

Good riddance to the last Chief! We'd still like to know the real reason for his untimely departure.

How stupid is Fairfield. The daily republic says part of his compensation package includes his RV parking fees? And a uniform allowance? You're getting 15K a month, buy your own #%#$% uniform.

Why does Fayfeel continue to make the same mistake over and over again ? Promote from within. Give the position to someone who has worked and lived in Fayfeel, someone who has roots here, someone who has family here, who grew up here...NOT someone from the outside who does not know anyone, and is only looking at the job as another career stepping stool. Wake up, Fayfeel City Council ! You've had enough time since Rainey announced he was "Movin' on up" to start the process to find a replacement. Why the delay ?

Actually, Rainey was the first outside hire for Police Chief in years. The last two (maybe even three--can't remember exactly) were promoted from within the ranks--Gresham and Millender.

Todd's contract calls for $17,722 per month or $106,332 over a six-month period and a one-time payment of $400 for a uniform allowance. with $17,722 per month, I think they can buy their own uniforms. Dont be stupid and take this job Todd if you know what is smart for you. You are under a BIG fire if you take this and accept this ampubnt of STUPID PAY PER MONTH!!!

Before Coppock was Ding DeGracia and he was from within. He always said when B. Gale Wilson,ex city manager for Fairfield, passed on he was going to urinate upon his grave and I believe him.

Palo Alto hired their interim PC and made him permanent. Oh well.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
