A Green County Jail inmate dressed in orange pants and sandals and a hospital gown remained at large as of Monday morning after failing to return to jail on Saturday following a trip to the Monroe Clinic, the Green County Sheriff's Office reported.

Move over, deer and cows, turkeys are crashing the car crash scene. A turkey caused a minor car crash Tuesday night on Wisconsin 69 in the town of Monroe in Green County, when it flew into the front of a vehicle driven by Rozena Frankowski, 42, Monroe.

The Green County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case of cattle rustling. Just after 7:30 a.m., a farmer in the town of Washington called the Sheriff's Office to report that seven Holsteins were taken from W5800 area of Center Road, located just west of Highway 69 between Monroe and Monticello.
