He gave the sport a black eye by turning it into the WWE. Coach Gibbs, one of the most respected coaches in professional sports must be very proud. NOT!

It was just a guitar... Hell between me and my son we have 20 or so ... and some more valuable then that one.. He shared the pieces with the crew.. So they can have a little trophy made with a piece of guitar on it...lol

I really wish you folks would get your heads out of jrs butt..

Face it he's an average driver and thats all he will ever be

You're an idiot just like Kyle. What don't you understand NASCAR is a professional sport NOT the WWE or a rock concert!

Kyle is his own man. Not a cookie-cutter driver, not a cookie-cutter personality. I thought it was a little strange when he did it but after hearing he had promised the crew pieces of it for their own individual trophy if he won---makes sense to me. He has also ordered two more guitars, one for himself and one for his crew chief.

Who are you to determine how much that guitar was worth??? I submit that your "20 or so" wouldn't come close to the value of the destroyed work of art!!!

That was soooo wrong for him to break his guitar! My Dad was so pissed he busted a hole in his wall over it. How would you guy's feel if something that means so much that you gave to someone in pride took it and broke it up! If he wanted to give something to his crew well why not give them a bonus or even go and buy them something that they can cherish as a whole? All in all they work for HIM and they get a paycheck from HIM. To the ones who are defending him for what he did you are all just dumbasses!!!

mrbreeze, it was his property. He had a right to do anything he wished with it. The members of his crew will have a story to tell for many years from this incident when they show off their trophy.

Ok people let me first say that I am not a NASCAR fan in anyway shape or form, but I do have alot of good friends that live and breath for NASCAR. I respect that. But speaking with them and other NASCAR fans they all seem to have a driver they love and drivers they hate. No matter what the driver the "love" does it is OK in their book and whatever a driver they hates does it is totally wrong. Hell some of them will blame the outcome of an entire race on 30seconds of action done by a driver they hate.

Some of the posts are bashing Busch and Petty and their opinions on what happened. Lets face it NASCAR was made by men who broke the law for a living. This man was doing his own thing he said from the begining it was not to show disrespect it was to do his own thing and give his TEAM part of the prize. Around here if Carl Edwards did a back flip from his car with the guitar and when he landed he smashed it on the ground every Carl Edwards fan would be praising him and every anti Edwards fan would be saying what a disgrace he is. Its just the nature of a NASCAR fan. So even if Busch is a second rate driver, poor sportsman or whatever people may think of him lets face it he WON the race and he out drove the other drivers. Why don't people just be happy for his win and move on. Hell even the artist who painted the guitar wasn't upset. I know I will be bashed for this post but this is the way I see it and Congratulations to Busch on his win.

LOL, Dad lost his hair when I became a teenager!LOL but those eyebrows are full of gray! I know everyone can have their own opinion but guitars are worth a lot of money! When he lived in St. Louis my Dad use to play guitar with Mac Davis before he became famous! They lived by each other in an apartment building. He has a Gibson acustic that he has hanging on his wall in the family room with all the signatures of the guys he played with including Mac Davis so when it comes to Nascar and guitars my Dad takes things very personal. I just got off the phone with him and he is still talking very loud!

He is also a guitar player...Little Busch-Hog should have just sold the guitar and gave the money to someone in need. He is a dumb A$$.I burned and smached every
Busch-hog object in this house and my friends and neighbors did the same.

Wow, that is mature to burn and smash every Kyle Merchandise. I did not know Kyle Petty was a guitar player, but I can understand how he feels, I don't want my guitar smashed, but then again it's not a trophy.

Thats fantastic making music with Mac Davis. I have and Alveraz acustic plus play the blues on harmonica. I know I posted a lot of music videos on another site, but everything I said to everyone was the truth. If you get a chance check it out in (Place your music videos here) Q
