Native groups identify land claims
Late last week the Native village corporation for the village of Minto and the Minto Village Council, completed a lengthy effort to identify thousands of acres of land claims eligible under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
Troopers release name of Minto fire victim
Alaska State Troopers say the man seriously injured in a house fire in Minto was a 50-year-old resident of the interior Alaska village.
Quake shakes Interior Alaska early Wednesday
An earthquake shook a swath of Interior Alaska early this morning. The quake, measured at 4.24 magnitude and 9 miles deep, was centered between Nenana and Minto and struck at 1:21 a.m. It was 42 miles northwest of Fairbanks, in the middle of Minto Flats.
