ATVFD to provide ambulance service
The Rush County Commissioners met Monday for the final time of 2009 and wrapped up what they called a difficult but successful year.
The boys' party will begin at 9 a.m. and the girls' party will begin at noon. Open to all children ages 5 to 19; club membership not required.

School boundary changes discussed
This map shows the proposed district lines for Rush County Schools. A vote on the changes is expected at the February meeting of the local school board.
There will be a $10 gift exchange and the donation for the pantry this month is a free will offering.
To be discussed: realignment of school boundaries and realignment of RES into two separate schools.

Milroy soldier recovery from serious injuries
Pfc. Jacob Lyerla, 19, of Milroy, will spend his rapidly approaching birthday in the hospital, recovering from injuries he suffered from head to toe when a roadside bomb exploded near his patrol in Afghanistan.
