I hope by the time you read this we have received some much needed rain. It looks like there is some in the forecast but it also looks like it is going to be coming more than a week later than we need it.

The regular meeting of the Chadwick-Milledgeville School Board was held May 21, 2012 at the Milledgeville High School Library.

STERLING – A rural Sterling family lost their home and two family pets in an afternoon fire Tuesday at 24570 Empire Ave.

MILLEDGEVILLE – June Grace Diehl, 91, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society in Mount Carroll.

Residents have raised more than $30,000 for the first phase of the project, which will include concrete work, pavers and permanent flagpoles, said Lee Gibbs, commander of the local American Legion.

Savanna Rotary Club recently heard a presentation from Linda Giesen who is a practicing attorney in Dixon, a member of the Dixon Rotary Club, and Assistant Governor of District 6420.

MILLEDGEVILLE – A Morrison woman was injured Sunday in a car versus bicycle accident on Milledgeville Road, a quarter-mile west of Lovers Lane Road.
