The truck driver who drifted into closed lanes of the Ohio Turnpike in January during a crash that left one turnpike worker dead and two others injured was arraigned Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of vehicular homicide.

Peter J. Hebert, a retired railroad engineer's assistant who was the owner of the former Wood's Typewriter Co.

One home is destroyed after a fire in a garage Monday night. The fire broke out in the 2700 hundred block of Latcha in Millbury.

A 56-year-old Fremont man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after being accused of breaking into a barn and stealing scrap metal, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office reported.

The two bank robbers who made off with cash from the downtown branch of Apple Creek Bank, along with two others in the Toledo area, have been convicted for their crimes and await sentencing.
