Anyone planning a visit to historic Mill Springs in the near future needs to be aware of some ongoing construction work, which could limit access to certain areas of the park.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE YARD SALE The Monticello/Wayne County Chamber of Commerce will be having a yard sale on Thursday, August 20 from 7:30-11 a.m. at the park at the large shelter house.

BERTRAM REUNION The annual Bertram Reunion will be held Sunday, July 12 at the Wayne County Park at the large shelter house.

BOSTON FAMILY REUNION IS AUGUST 1 The Boston Family Reunion will be held Saturday, August 1 at the Boston farm at Mill Springs beginning at 10 a.m. The farm is located off Highway 1275 near the 12 mile marker at 579 Boston Road, which is between Mill Springs Park and Conley Bottom Dock road.

The Mill Springs Battlefield Association is inviting the public to help tell the story of the Battle of Mill Springs.

ANNUAL COOPER FAMILY REUNION IS JUNE 21 The Annual Cooper Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 21 at the Monticello Park at 12 noon, local time.

Gray clouds rolled overhead at the Mill Springs National Cemetery, but even the rain stood still in solemn remembrance Monday as fallen heroes were honored and cherished.

WILLIAM MARCUM MOTORCYCLE RIDE The William Marcum Motorcycle ride will be held May 17 at 1 p.m. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the old Walmart parking lot in Monticello, Ky.

Eighty-five Civil War historians visited Laurel County's Camp Wildcat Civil War Battlefield on April 24.
