Congressman Kerry Bentivolio considering write-in bid for re-election after primary loss

U.S. Rep. Kerry Bentivolio is considering a write-in bid for re-election, according to a report from Lansing news service MIRS. Bentivolio, a first-term congressman elected in 2012 after the sudden resignation of former U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter , was defeated in the August Republican primary for a spot on the November ballot by David Trott, an attorney from Commerce Township with powerful GOP fundraising ability.
