Yes go Mayor Jim. I know it's going to be anxiety provoking. I know you have never really been up to the job. I know turned to your greater demons for the last two years. But go anyway. You have nothing else.

That comment about Alex Armstong is uncalled for and if you are truly a PTA Mom you should be ashamed of yourself for making it. Alex has always been mature beyond his years. He is an adult now and someone who has always been interested in politics. He should be given the opportunity to be heard and if you don't like what he has to say, don't vote for him.

I would put Alex Armstrong up against anyone in terms of commitment, intellect and maturity. PTA Mom, maybe you should know someone before you judge them or opine.

While I understand that Alex is young, he's a bright, articulate young man who is trying to make a difference in his hometown. To make such an ignorant remark is disheartening. Knowing Alex and his family personally, I applaud him for putting himself out there against the naysayers who will always mock youth. The experiences and education he gained through both the Milford School system and at Georgetown will no doubt serve him well as he looks toward a career in the political arena. It amazes me how we in this town criticize our youth for jumping in to the political arena because of their age rather than embracing them for returning to their hometown to try to make a difference. While he may lack life experience and he may be young, he may also surprise you....

PTA Mom 1971 is a great example of the type of person supporting the incumbant. Finally, an intelligent, analytical, qualified, proactive candidate in Genevieve Salvatore. Keep showing your true colors Republicans, keep supporting the good old boy.......are you confident that your tax dollars are being spent wisely?

I do not disparage on Alex for being young at all.

I do wonder how when a younger person is in a car accident though, everyone jumps on their back saying they are immature and should not be driving etc. etc.

However, they are clearly old enough and responsible enough to run for political office. I just enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of this forum.

As a lifelong resident I am thrilled to have a democratic slate with Genevieve at the top. She is a true leader with values, integrity, and passion. Those democrats have a slate of candidates they should be proud of! I know I'm voting for them in November!!!

Alex is 22 and a Georgetown graduate...it's not like he'll be commuting from UCONN or anything.

So, that disparaging post was you, without using your topix registration??? How do you know these people who make statements supporting Alex have ever "jumped ont he back" of a younger person who's been in a car accident. A rather broad, unsubstantiated comment to be making.

Regardless of age, I seem to recall UCONN having a better basketball team than Georgetown...

Not sure why someone from Indiana is interested, but Genevieve has mentioned at several meetings that her husband is - like far too many Americans - currently unemployed.

But don't let that stop your half-witted musings, by any means.

Yeah, and she runs a law office based on constuction contracts and building. Conflict of interest? She's not familiar enough with this city to get my vote. Besides, the Democrats are ruining this country on a national basis. Why would you want to give them carte blanche to wreak havoc on this city? Enough damage has been done already. NO MORE NEW CONSTRUCTION. While I think Jim should quit while he's ahead, I seriously doubt Ms. Salvatore will be much of an improvement.

Are you really that dumb? What type of resume would you prefer our next mayor has? For the record Richitelli hasn't been "ahead" in at least seven years.
