Council approves fire levy for fall ballot
A resolution to place a five-year, three mill tax levy on the November ballot for the purpose of funding the purchase of a new ladder truck for the Middleport Fire Department was passed by a split vote of Middleport Village Council Monday night.
Middleport granted funds to improve parks
Middleport has received a grant from the Meigs County Health Department to be used to improve park facilities in the village as a way of encouraging residents to participate in activities which lead to a healthier lifestyle.

One person arrested in connection with Middleport math lab
Richard A. Hill Jr., 42, of Middleport was arrested on Wednesday evening about two hours after a search warrant was executed at his residence on North Second Avenue.
Middleport to seek funding for riverfront trail
