When was the last time we had a governor from south of I-40?
She's smart, from a small business family AND from the 'south.' I can't wait to vote for her.

Someone using the term "Spreading the Wealth" is not for me. All my life, "work hard" was the guideline I was raised on and live with, now government is telling us to "SHARE THE WEALTH".

Doesn't the title 'Ex-Cop' make you think about what you just said? If you were really a cop at some point, you were a public employee; paid with 'redistributed wealth.'

Whether or not you left public service to pursue the private sector is irrelevant given the handle you've chosen for yourself.

I worked hard for my pay, I do not believe in taking away from someone else to give it to someone that did not work for it. I don't believe in SOCIALISM. Might have been a public servent, retired military and law enforcement. I do not ask for something that does not belong to me. But liberals seem to think that when Peter has more then Paul then it is ok to take from Peter to give to Paul. Why not just have Paul work harder?

Well, that in and of itself poses a problem.

Someone has to pay Paul to work. That person has carried full coverage insurance for their employees for years. Paul works 60 hour weeks. Paul has a wife and family. Paul employer, under the pressure of increasing costs, if forced to step back insurance coverage. Paul's employer starts laying off employees. Paul's wife gets sick, and needs surgery. The insurance covers the tests, but refuses to cover the surgery. They've determined it's elective. The doctors say she soon be so debilitated by her condition, that she will be confined to a wheelchair, and will need heavy pain medication without the surgery. Paul's family's insurance coverage is canceled, no one will insure his wife, and he'll have to pay for care out of pocket. The house is re-mortgaged. The family moves in with Paul's parents.

Having worked almost exclusively for the government, you wouldn't have encountered this system. You wouldn't have worked hard everyday, only to have your coverage canceled because someone in your family gets sick.

This is whats happening.

And you still fail to see that your health care, and your retirement, are paid for by taxpayers. Most folks have to depend on an employer for insurance, and will have to save wisely in order to retire. Pension programs are almost extinct. If the private sector was able to address the myriad of problems currently confronting the system, why would it have been addressed already? The only excuse is greed, which is unacceptable when it comes to people's health and welfare.

I am not trying to insult or dismiss your career, I sincerely respect your service.

Some of you may remember that this business was hassled by some folks when they first started up , so far they provide 15 families with an income and jobs , that number will soon take another jump and there will be more jobs available at this small business for a few more families .

The Lt Governors visit meant a lot to the workers there to be able to show off a little bit of what they have helped build and are continuing to build.

The owners of this business are personally involved with each person who works there its a true small business with a people first mind set .

I hope that the LT Governor can help them to stay in business in some way and that the jobs continue to be added helping more people here in tulie and alamo .

If you couldn't afford health care coverage for a wife and family maybe you should not have got married until you could. Why should we have to pay for your health care when you are probably driving two cars and drinking a six pack of beer a day.

I beg your pardon, I know ExCop and he is still working. Just not for the government. So he is a taxpayer paying for Paul's wife's surgery.

Where did the money to pay for her trip down here come from? Waste, Waste and a budget problem, who believes there is a budget problem?
