On May 21, 2012 at approximately 9:55am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a single vehicle roll over traffic crash on STH 78 just north of Weigands Bay North in the Township of Merrimac.

On Thursday April 26, 2012, at approximately 11:52 am, Baraboo Police was notified of an armed robbery that had just taken place at the Spin Shack, 136 3rd Street, Baraboo.

On April 4, 2012 the Sauk County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the Village of Merrimac.

On February 11, 2012 at approximately 11:55pm a Sauk County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a vehicle on STH 78 and Walleye Lane in the Township of Merrimac for loud exhaust and for failure to have registration lamps lit.
