The Sallie Howard Memorial Baptist Church isn't your normal sanctuary. It's not only a place of a worship, but a monument to the wife of the late Colonel Milford Howard.

Say "Ole'" for a fiesta filled with food and fun. Our Lady of the Lake will present its 21st annual "Taste of Tammany" on Saturday from 7-10 p.m., with a patron party scheduled from 6-7 p.m. The Cinco de Mayo-themed party will be held at the Castine Center in Pelican Park just east of Mandeville.
