It is too bad that the Union does not understand the financial situation that the rest of the country is in. If the district is not asking for wage reductions the union should jump on the deal.

Labor dispute between Menlo Park firefighters, district boils over

A year-plus dispute over salary increases for firefighters in the Menlo Park Fire Protection District has boiled over, with the district board declaring negotiations to be at an "impasse," and the union filing a complaint with state officials.
