Wednesday is day one of the Toys for Tots distribution in Bloomington. By Thursday organizers say they will have helped about 1,000 families through a partnership with the Salvation Army.

There is one week left in the 2011 toys for tots campaign and organizers are still looking for items to brighten the holidays for area children in need.

Beginning with the 2012 crop year, farmers purchasing crop insurance for corn and soybeans in 14 Midwestern states will have the option to use the trend-adjusted actual production history, or TA-APH, yield endorsement, allowing farmers to increase yields used in calculating crop insurance guarantees.

Michele L. Brady, 42, 527 Christie St., was arrested Sunday in the 600 block of West Main Street on a Bureau County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license suspended.

A few days ago, a listing in theA Bloomington Pantagraph announced that the McLean Depot Train Shop had opened at 200 E. Dixie Road in the old railroad depot building in McLean, Ill.
