One thing not mentioned in the above is the fact that Candidate Dave Varschock is a DECORATED NAVY VETERAN wich I beleive speaks volumes to his dedication to his country and to the people of this great nation. I beleive that those willing to lay down their life for their country truly exemplify what it means to be a leader, and provides the perfect fundamental foundation for successful public servents.

I live in Mckinleyville, a transplant from other parts of California.... and I have often wondered about our "community services district". I pay my water bill to them every month, and recently heard they would have to adjust their billing, to reimburse those overcharged... I love this community... and I want to know to whom we are paying what, and why. I have lived all over this state, and never in a community that did not have representation on a city and county level.. Who speaks for Mckinleyville at planning commision, or County supervisor
s meetings? Do we have , or need or want a Mayor? This is the third largest community, according to your article, so why don't we have some kind of say in issues that involve us, and the whole county. We need a voice, and I am astonished that we don't have one right now. What about a city manager, or administrator? I'm still dumbfounded that we don't even have a city council.

As far as I understood, McK doesn't WANT to incorporate into a City.

Dont vote for Couch. He claims he can pollute the earth as much as he wants because he has Spruce trees on his property. What a dirtbag! And Elsebush, you can't even tell anybody your age! What else aren't you telling us?

Penny Elsebusch is a real estate agent who is married to that Republican nutjob David Elsebusch, who constantly writes columns & letters to the McKinleyville Press admonishing local leaders for doing their jobs. Why didn't David run this time? Sending Penny out to do David's dirty work for him isn't very manly.

Don't forget about the rodeo clown Dennis Mayo. When did being a rodeo clown become a qualification for public office? WTF! The truth is Dennis Mayo is a clown in more ways than one. Did you know Mayo is a member of the Republican Central Committee?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Gemini

Mercury will backtrack through your finances over the next few weeks, which isn't a very seasonal thought if you're already well aware that you've overspent this month. Be prepared to do some juggling or to seek expert advice if you're worried about how you're going to cope. You may be kept busy handling inheritance, tax or insurance matters, preparing investment analysis, and allocating funds for the repayment or collection of debts.
