As the sun came up on the beautiful Ohio River in Maysville, KY, the Footsteps to Freedom group awoke in the French Quarters Hotel for breakfast on the river.

Students, staff and volunteers of the Stratospheric Space Science Program in Morehead State University's Space Science Center conducted their third high altitude balloon launch on Tuesday, June 21.

Update : The Ohio River has now officially reached the flood stage of 52 feet at Cincinnati and will continue rising throughout the day.A Heavy rain continues to fall over much of the Ohio River basin.A The latest forecast crest is 54 feet by 8 a.m. Sunday, but that could be revised much higher if the heavy rains persist.

An investigation is underway after a deadly crash in northeastern Kentucky. The accident happened just before 10 Monday night on U.S. 68 near Maysville.

At 5:11 am, KSP Morehead received a call for service in reference to a multiple vehicle accident on US 68 at the 2 mile marker in Fleming County.
