Appeals court rejects woman's bid for sentencing break

Full story: Knoxville News Sentinel

A little contrition goes a long way. That was the message the state Court of Criminal Appeals sent to former Maynardville City Recorder Hazel Gillenwater in rejecting her bid for a sentencing break for taking more than $20,000 from the city over a two-year period.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Libra

Don't try to do too much at once today or you'll disappear up you know what! You're all fingers and thumbs, accident-prone and things start breaking. It won't help if you're trying to concentrate at work and a certain chatterbox doesn't know when to shut up. Ask them to be quiet but try not to sound shrewish.
