State police releases victims' names in fatal crash on I-81 near Wytheville
The Virginia State Police released this afternoon the names of two men killed Friday evening in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 81 in Wythe County after their vehicles were struck by a tractor-trailer. Chris Darby, 50, of Goose Creek, S.C., and Harold Atwell, 66, of Max Meadows, died at the scene of the accident, which occurred after 6 p.m.
Mountain View Humane receives grant to spay/neuter dogs
Mountain View Humane, the Waldron-Ricci Spay Neuter Clinic, has received a $5,000 grant from the Animal Farm Foundation to help 100 Pit bull or Pit bull mix owners spay and neuter their pets for $23. Nineteen pit bulls are currently scheduled to have surgery or have already had surgery through this program, including Linkin.
