I would like the mayor of Mauk to respond to these animals that are to be killed. What's he doing about it? Is he proud of Mauk?
I would like to know why there was not enough time allotted to notify the public and arrange for these animals to have a chance.
My opinion is that no one who scheduled this at that humane site has any heart or has not given any thought on how this would effect people or the animals. Just another day, hmmm?
I would rather not have a new facility if this means you have to kill all the animals. How would you feel if you lived in an apartment complex and it needed to be destroyed within a few days of notifying you. You must leave your furniture, your sick cannot be moved and you have no where else to go.
Remember, what goes around, comes around. In my
opinion, whoever is in charge of this slaughter will face something in their own life as
devastating as this. I feel sorry for those who do these kind of things because sometimes they do not realize how cruel they are.
Have Atlanta news do another story on these animals and give people and other shelters time to adopt these animals.
A question; did you even ask any other shelters in Georgia to take some of the animals? Rescue, shelters and people will respond if given enough time.
Have mercy upon these animals who depend on someone to take care of them. God gave us dominion over animals, but I don't think He meant it to painfully destroy them.
Mayor of Mauk, we are waiting for your response.
