Class of 2011 suggests name, colors, mascot

name:unwanted school. colors: black and white, mascot: wolf in sheeps clothing.

It does not matter what we vote to name it. If it is not what the state BOE wants, they will take over and correctly name it.

King Coal High School--Mascot????

How about name the school James "Buck" Harless High School? Mascot they ask? How about James "Buck" Harless himself. LMFAO

I think one of the names that Burch High School came up with would be kinda of cool : Mountain Ridge High School. Mascot could be the Mountain Lions or the Mountaineers.

The people don't have any say so in this matter, it will probably be called Harless-Hannah-Nicewonder High, they're the ones who are going to make money off it.

I am 100% for coal. But, a coal miner for the mascot? C'mon people!!! The school should be called Mingo County Central High School. After all, it will ultimately be the only school in the county once Tug Valley is brought in. And they will...just watch!

What does all the Schols have in common? WVU Mountaineers...Mountain Ridge High Scohool Mountaineers...Blue and Gold as Colors..

It's ironic that some of the people on here who pushed consolidation are going to be losing their jobs. A rumor floating around the Board's office is that 74 positions will be eliminated. When the State came in, overturned an election and took over, a lot of people cheered. I wonder if they ever considered their children's future when they did this. And, I'm told this doesn't include the teachers they will let go.

I don't agree with the colors, but I think Chief Mingo is an excellent mascot choice.

The chiefs-sounds good, but the mascot should be Princess Aracoma.

The name of the school Mingo County Central.
The mascots are between Mingo Miners, Mingo Chiefs, Mingo Spartans, or Mingo Tribes. The schools colors are between Carolina Blue & Red, Carolina Blue & Black, Red & Black, or Orange & Black!
