11 hurt in bus-minivan accident on Long Island
Long Island police say 11 people were hurt when a bus carrying handicapped children was hit by a minivan.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m. Friday in Mastic. Police say the bus was carrying five handicapped children in heavy rain and fog when it came to a stop and was rear-ended by the minivan behind it.
Suffolk County police say 11 people in both cars were all treated for minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
