CHOTEAU - Much like the people of Punxsutawney, Teton County has its own spring ritual, but instead of searching for groundhog shadows, they spot ground squirrels in their scopes.

Some 3,000 acres of school trust land near Martinsdale will soon be home to 15 wind turbines, part of a proposed 300-megawatt wind farm.

Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation recommends wind turbines be allowed on state land as part of what would be the state's largest privately owned wind farm.
