Wow, thanks to the State and Local politicians for our new success. One big earthquake and it's all over folks! So much for keeping the productive here to hire, spend, increase tax revenue, etc.

"Tourism and hospitality now the region's top industry"

I can see how Tourism is now the region's top industry.

Hospitality? No, I dont think so.

I dont consider some overweight illegal with a racist hatred spitting on your food a form of hospitality.

Now bad boy,
Who is showing racist hatred here.

If people coming to Los Angeles want culture and hospitality, don't go to the valley. It is obvious they don't want your money. There are other places in Los Angeles that need turism money, and they will treat you like kings and queens. L.A. is a beutiful place full of history and mistique.

Save this article as a piece of history! Because that's what it will be ... HISTORY!

Who's going to visit LA with a 9.75% sales tax and other suffocating taxes taken from the public to support a greedy and ineffective government?

Much better bargains can be found. Hell, it's cheaper to vacation overseas!

What is there to HEART about LA?

It is a city of decaying crumbling streets with water lines on the verge of collapse under them. There are gangbangers in control of many areas and graffiti on nearly every available surface. It rivals that former major tourist attraction, Tijuana.

Yet sir you are right on one point. There are some people here who still want to be hospitable and would welcome your spending in their communities. Except for the bevy of local and state politicians standing in line to snatch those dollars right out of their hands it is a wonderful thing.

Before you try and excoriate me with "why don't you just move", you are too late. Process in motion and it will be completed before year's, end. There will be a lot of company in the line going with me which will further worsen the livability of this region.

The problem is that I can not really escape this cancer as it spreads through the lovely Nancy Pelosi who is taking the failure that is California on the road through her power as Speaker Of The House. With the help of Barack Obama, and Harry Reid; they are Californicating the entire Country. Since I am getting older and now consider myself a true Senior Citizen I can only hope that they won't get it done everywhere before I pass to that final destination that we all are headed toward.

Norman Moore,

Change... It's a natural cycle. I am not going to ask you to leave. That would be rude of me to ask. Try spending sometime smilling to people and getting to know your new neighbors. After all, it really is the childrens world now. We all have had "A wonderfull life." Try not to sour the childrens future.

Since you mention Tijuana. Let me tell you that Tijuana is what it is because of American turists who go their looking for cheap sex, booze, and drugs. Tell your grandchildren not to go to Tijuana act like fools.

I Heart L.A. Now a little more.

Here's "hospitality" California SSR style:

"Give me your money!", followed by a slap in the face.

If only the tourist knew the torture the taxpaying slaves endure.....

"Have a nice day" is not a wish-you-well......

....It is a prayer, a wish, an out-of-reach goal
for the average citizen taxpayer.

"Have a nice day" disguises the fear that hides behind their smiles,
and the hopelessness that is crushing the life out of them.

'FEAR & HOPELESSNESS' is the motto of today's
Socialist Democratic Party.

What is to keep the tourists here from making this into another TJ? And for your information I do smile at people everyday, except for the ones who might misinterpret my interest in them. In other words the ones in baggy low hanging pants or long khaki shorts with over the calf white socks who dominate my neighborhood now.

I am leaving while I still can because with the economy and cost of living here all the money I can scrape together is spent on rent and other essentials. Once i am gone my monthly expenses will drop by at least half if not two thirds. But I do smile at the store clerks and I love and enjoy most people just not some of the ones here.

Obviously you are an optimist and I hope that you are not disappointed by the reality that is but as for myself I still can not muster up any warm fuzzy feelings about LA nor California.

Good luck, Norman!

You will find life outside the California SSR
very much as you remember it in your younger days.

For those who spend their lives in the L.A.(Lunatic Asylum)
their way of life seems to be the only normal one.

They don't realize that there is life outside of the CSSR,
where life is livable.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Gemini

You're viewing the world from a wonderfully optimistic perspective today, which makes you feel good. However, it's important that you keep your feet on the ground and don't allow yourself to be carried away by wishful thinking or unrealistic expectations. These will lead you in the wrong direction and you'll be bitterly disappointed when reality intrudes on your lovely dreams.
