I'm a Democrat and a supporting member of the Michigan Liberal blog. A year ago, I voted against Jase Bolger. I even had his opponents' sign in my front yard. But Bolger will have my support in the next election. He's one of the 10% of legislators who actually do something other than collect a paycheck. And he's already demonstrated the ability to work with the Democratic majority in the Michigan House and get bills passed.

Dave Morgan may have good intentions but he certainly isn't going to reduce partisan politics by defeating a freshman legislator from the other party. And how is he going to cut taxes for senior citizens without increasing already large cuts in K-12 education, Medicaid, community health, State Police and support for colleges and universities? By proposing something like that, Morgan is either being dishonest to buy votes or clueless about Michigan's budget situation.
