Any ties Eddie Wayne Louthian Sr. has to the Saltville Rescue Squad's finances poses "too great a risk of abuse," a federal judge wrote, especially while a health-care fraud case continues in the courts.

I was born in the South -- Kingsport, Tenn., in fact. I grew up in a small town called Marion, Va., after moving from the even smaller town of Big Stone Gap.

So, here we are at the dawn of the summer season. Now, it's time to get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the mountains.
