This mother was 17 when she gave birth to Christopher Sutton, She probably got pregnant at 16.

It doesn't matter how old she was when she gave birth. Trash is trash, no matter how old. I had my son a month before I turned 16. He's in college now, on the dean's list. I raised him with no help from anyone. So that has nothing to do with it.

Children should not raise children. I believe that.

You seem to have done a terrific job but it must have been very difficult.

There are too many children being raised by children who are not as strong as you are. They never really had a chance.

That said, at this point, let the chips fall where they may.

If no one else will teach these people a lesson, let the government do it.

By the way, I admire what you have accomplished. I hope you are doing as well as you child.

you are exactly right...trash is trash. It comes in all colors, shapes and sizes. And most trash comes from a bigger pile of trash. And trash needs to be picked up and dealt with.

by the way, Kudos to your son for making the Dean's list! That is awesome and you should be very proud.

Getting pregnant at 16 is irrelevant?

How in the world can you say that? Had she finished high school before the child was born? Has she finished high school yet?

What job skills did she have when she gave birth and how much money could she earn to take care of her child?

Did she have a husband who earned enough money to support their family?

The young need to understand the need to be prepared to have children and not just physically capable of having them.

Getting pregnant at sixteen is a crime against the child. Even if raised successfully, it would have been so much easier on the child and parents if they had waited until they were in their 20s.

So it is not irrelevant, as you put it.

Progressive seems indignant that someone is called trash.
But, you want us to believe that you raised a child at 16 with no help. Yea right. It could be true, but I don't believe it. I bet there were parents & grandparents and we tax payers that helped too.
