"about six in Broward have defaulted on mortgages and lost their places of worship"
If "God" can't come up with the cash, the tax payer will bail them out. There isn't enough churches believing in mystical beings and fairy tales in the USA.... Praise Jesus and Allah Ackbar |

Great, let the churches go under. With this troubled economy, the last thing we need is these pastors and rip-off artists robbing the communities.
Pray to the sky fairy in your own home. |

I don't care if all the churches close up and are gone.
I like Popeye's better anyway. |

See how it works? If your rich, God blesses you, but if you are poor God,,,...evicts you. Sounds about right.

Unfortunatly many of the con artist preachers have taught this to people instead of worshiping God for who he is and having faith that their situation will turn around. God was never intended to be used as an ATM. However, many unethical preachers have manipulated people into believing that money will just fall from the sky if they give. Let the mega churches fold. They are generally the ones that have spewed this non-sense and are filled with people who's greed is at the forefront of their church attendace. There are many men and women of faith that are on the front lines everyday helping poeple instead of scaming for their next Rolex.

Well, if they wouldn't have squandered it on the buildings themselves and been more frugal they would be ok.

Religion is a business just like any other and this is a prime example. The Wal-Mart Super Store of Churches, Cavalry Chapel is running all of the other local churches out of business.

I will pray for all you posters, you all need it.

If Obama is elected, all churches that are struggling financially will be handed tax money, but only the ones that have racist angry ministers.

Very nice! That was good. |
I have told your imaginary friend about your blatent homoeroticism on both these forums as well as elsewhere. He is not pleased. You will be dealt with accordingly. |

I don't think I could ever be born again. I'm 6'2" and about 250 lbs. It's doubtful than any broad could pass me through her crotch anymore. I've gotten too big. |

In the words of George Carlin, "excuse me for getting it right the first time". |
Yes, they should pay taxes just like any other business. |

Yes, pray for us we need it.Too bad it doesn't help or do anything for anyone. Have you tried smoke and mirrors? |
|

The Church of the Intercession (Episcopal), just south of Wilton Manors near Andrews Ave and NW 17th ST in Ft. Lauderdale has recently closed as well. It's a nice large piece of property; prime area for development in a potentially nice neighborhood close to downtown.
