Hello Everyone,

I hope all had a wonderful holiday!

Jan, I just love your posts.

On another note, I can't get over what R.H. has been up to with Blink. Some really sick stuff. For someone that is supposed to be a professional, it's quite disheartening. I think he left no doubt in my mind, that he has some deeply embedded issues and I don't mean intellectual ones.

Hello Sunshine

How was your Christmas?
Mine was pretty good. Got a lot done early for a change. A little quiet this year. That is good. Things are now going to get going full swing especially after the new year?

Weather here has been weird. Snow one minute. High wind the next. Then very warm like spring? I guess that is what they say is global warming.

I made a wish for New Year 2010. I think busy will be my middle name. Hope to stay in contact some of the people I met on here. It was a new experience for me and one that I have learned alot from.

I am all for letting this trial and any other ones now play out. It will be interesting to see what both sides have as evidence? I do hope she gets a fair trial.I think everyone deserves that no matter what. I am really not sure what happened? There has been so much talk and theories discussed. I really think that as this trial starts. I just want to listen. My theories are not important. The truth is. I hope the child gets justice.

I do not know how you feel but I want to let lady justice run its course. I will see what the real evidence is and try to go from there. I even feel like it is time for healing the family and who ever else needs it. LOL I know I would not have wanted to wish this situation on any one?

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas.
I came across Casey's visitors log. Only two visits from Baez during December (?). It starts in mid-Oct.
I was really hoping it went back further. On one of the old threads, we found DCs visit in August, 2008, but it has since vanished.
I also read where Casey's inmate account is up to almost $400!

Hi, All. Thanks for the links and updates.

I remember seeing DC's visit log. Maybe we can still dig that out?

Jan, heard you're getting snow tonight. Check out my city! First snow of the almost-gone year! So beautiful! And rare!

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for that link Gia. It was too hard for me to deal with right now though..being it is sideways.
My Christmas was very nice...I hope everyone elses was too!
Jan, I plan on being busy this coming year as well. I think we should all be able to stay in touch. We all know where to find each other and there will always be discussion on this case, that's for sure. I'm sure she will get a fair trial. Speaking of trials, the check fraud trial is coming up quick. I wonder if JB is going to plea? Seems the defense hasn't said a peep since Dec. 11th. I'm thinking they thought they would get a lot of the charges dropped due to the double jeopardy motion. Their attention may be focusing on that and the evidence they are to submit by Feb. 1st. Should be interesting to say the least.
OGG, I'm so happy for you with the snow. If my memory is correct, I can remember us chatting in the wee hours last year and you had snow. Lots of snow. That is the one downfall here...we only get snow in the mountains. I think it is one of the most beautiful things and wish we could get a week or two of it once a year. Oh well...

OGG, I did see parts of the show on TV, but I have been busy with my son home.We have been working on those college applications. We did spend one cultural type evening already -- at the Comedie Francaise where we saw the Moliere comeedy L'Avare (or The Miser in English.) The play was written in 1668 but it still really fun -- thats why it is a classic. But we would not have to drive to see the Sound of Music. Most people take the metro inside Paris. It is simply the most efficient and fastest way to get somewhere. One ride without transfer for me to Chatelet -- it takes about 15 or 20 minutes.

Lez, so sorry about your aunt.

Yes lets hope we see some justice this year

Parisienne, you've got a lot going on right now. I remember those college app days. Lots of pressure! And lots of (expensive) travel. Once she got through the first two years, she had it under control and chose to transfer, picked a grad school, etc. I guess she had it under control from the start!

Parental help is needed for those essays as adults will be reading them!

As for Sound of Music, I was just going to get you tickets, if you wanted to go.
Moliere can be hilarious! Glad you got out for a night. Good info on being able to get from chez toi into Chatelet. I thought you lived farther out.

I concur: Justice for Caylee in 2010.

Most of the apps were due by today. I was so relieved; I felt like celebrating. I would like to take it easy now for a few days. And my son goes by tomorrow morning from Paris to New York. It is so worrysome these days, especially since the last terror attempt. I bet it will be a real pain, too, at the airport. With all the things wrong with France, I have to say that the metro system is fantastic. For example, I can go into the metro station below my building without even getting wet in the rain, and go into the heart of Paris. To Chatelet, it is a direct line from my apartment building and takes fifteen minutes or so.

Happy New Year to you and to all

I remember the Jan 1 deadline! And the fafsa can't be sent before Jan 1. Must do that with my son, if he'll allow!

Very cool about being able to access the metro through your apartment complex.

I recall 15 years ago, we went through 11 passport checks before boarding. We got to the airport about 3 hours early and it took every single minute of it.

Yet, another time, I walked into Paris, past customs without even a pport stamp.

Anothertime, my friend was carrying my bag of cheese (I had another bigger bag!) as I was leaving Paris and she was afraid it was smelling too bad and she'd get in trouble!

Best wishes to your son on his way home. I'm sure it all be okay, and maybe better now with extra security.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Leo

Even though you usually pride yourself on being the strong silent type, love has a way of unlocking your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth may be familiar, but your sense of timing makes all the difference right now. Keep in mind that you never know how a risky gesture will work out, although you can always hope for the best. When in doubt, take the more cautious path.
