Workers are putting the finishing touches on a recycled-water plant that will add 2 million gallons per day of new supply to an area served by Western Municipal Water District in Riverside.

The first phase of demolition at the approved March LifeCare project was completed when two excavators with 10,000 pound breakers hammered away at the base of the old March AFB Hospital until it collapsed.

"This project is phenomenal," said Director Joel Ayala of the newly created Governor's Office of Economic Development in describing the upcoming March LifeCare campus.

The initial design plans of the March Healthcare Development were presented to the March Joint Powers Authority in a public meeting.
