Library gears up for 'Big Read'

With the summer reading program in full swing at the Au tauga-Prattville Public Librar ies, plans for the next big read ing event are also in the works, which will include a national, government-funded reading program called Big Read 2010.

LETTER: Don't make seniors travel for vouchers

Have the Alabama Aging Consor tium folks gone completely bananas? What this normally fine office wants now is for senior citizens from outly ing areas such as Marbury, where I attend senior functions, to somehow travel to Prattville, to the Chamber of Commerce to be exact, to pick up free food vouchers.
