The scene at downtown Marblehead's Richmond Galleries was chaotic Friday as more than 100 people swarmed the gallery to shop and snatch up their favorite works at 70 percent off.

Roddie Mazurik, of Marblehead, has been selected CAREGiver of the Year by the Home Instead Senior Care franchise office serving Ottawa, Erie and Huron Counties.

The move will save the state money but also will locate the office at a more convenient location, in the middle of its service area, said Gail Hesse, executive director of the commission.

Officials investigating a car fire and fatality in the Walmart parking lot near Port Clinton have ruled the death a suicide, but say the fire was accidental.

A 41-year-old Marblehead man has been indicted by an Ottawa County Grand Jury on one count of theft by deception from an elderly person after Port Clinton police allege he stole money from a resident, according to Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office reports.
