The following is a Jackson Citizen Patriot editorial for June 30: At $4 a gallon, the price of gasoline is making people do odd things.

Officers from the Cass County Sheriff's Department were called after a report that a couple filled their U-Haul in Mapleton around 5:30, and then drove off without paying for the gas.

MAPLETON, N.D. - A Michigan man and woman are in custody in Cass County after a police chase involving a U-Haul truck.

Authorities say a 13 year-old Fargo boy was taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries after a police chase that ended with his parent`s sport utility vehicle catching fire on an Interstate 94 exit.
