Police arrested the girl's former boyfriend - 20-year-old Derek Landry - for allegedly holding her at his home in the 400 block of Cowell Avenue.

The juvenile, missing since June 11, texted her mother on June 15 to inform her she was being held against her will at her ex-boyfriend's house, said Manteca Police Sergeant Jodie Estarziau.

The San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District is reporting that two birds found dead near Manteca tested positive for the West Nile virus.
