A deputy responded to an address on Herring Gull Court on May 23 to investigate the location of property that was reported stolen by a complainant who lives on Hwy 212, according to information received from the Jasper County Sheriff's Office .

Last Friday, May 18, a property owner reported the theft of several vehicles and other equipment from a hunting camp on North Cook Road, according to information received from the Jasper County Sheriff's Office .

A deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office arrested Joanne Lezatte and charged her with possession of a schedule II controlled substance , possession of a dangerous drug , prescription drugs not in original container, and obstruction of an officer after responding to a domestic dispute on Deerfield Farms Road Sunday.

Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Whippoorwill Drive in Turtle Cove on February 9 where an amount of marijuana was discovered in a vehicle as well as in the garage of the residence.

Heavy thunderstorms hit much of Jasper County Saturday, causing several accidents, and some power outages, most of them brief.
