there should never be a "haha" when a tragic death occurs even if it is self-induced. This person was a friend, and was a manhattan native, lets not lose sight that this was a human life. Have some RESPECT

HE SUFFERED FROM PTSD ,REMAINING FROM HIS SERVICE IN VIET NAM FOR US TO LIVE IN A FREE COUNTRY. HE WAS STILL PAYING A PRICE FOR ALL OF US. FINALLY PEACEFUL SLEEP FOR YOU MY LOVING BROTHER, NO MORE NIGHTMARES OF A FAR AWAY PLACE. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, "SIS"

Funny Face,
I am the mother of Matthew Tessendorf, the 33 year old man who shot himself and later died.Allow me to share a little about my wonderful son. Matt was the older brother to my two other children, my son Kelly and my daughter Ashley. He was my niece`s favorite uncle.
Matthew was a big man weighing about 250 pounds and standing about 5`11''. Matt was a big teddy bear kind of guy who enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake and listening to music. Matt was a KSU fan and had been his entire life. He grew up in Manhattan where he was known for his BIG heart and willingness to help anyone in need, be it friend, foe or stranger. But more then anything, Matt loved spending time with his family and friends. He would let his niece do his hair, dress him up in her play make-up and paint his finger nails.Matt loved animals and would often take in strays giving them a safe and loving home.He was a great writer and enjoyed politics. But more than anything he was part of our family and we love him very , very much.
The day Matt died he was very depressed and confused. He lost his life that horrible day, not because of some stupid football game, but because he had found himself surrounded by the Riley County Police for what was suppose to be a"welfare check." He became scared and unsure as to what was happening to him.
I want you to know how terribly painful your comment regarding Matt`s suicide is to my family and I. It only adds to the horrible saddness and grief we are already experiencing.I hope you never, ever have to go through something like this with someone you love and if for some reason you do, I hope people treat you with more compassion then you have shown us.
Peace,
Mel Pooler

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Taurus

Someone gets in a bit of a muddle today and it could take some unravelling. For instance, they might get their wires crossed, leading to all sorts of misunderstandings. You might also encounter someone who is trying to rewrite history, perhaps because they can't bear to remember things as they really were. Should you set them straight or leave well alone?
