He's good with the yoyo but what does that bring you in life? He should spend more time hitting the books instead of playing with a yoyo. Many kids are great at video games but what does that bring them in life?

Another Manhattan Beach yo-yo champ like Dewey Weber was years ago!! Good luck Grant!!!

Shinjo, let a 13 year old be a normal 13 year old. You will only blame yourlsef when your kids grow up to be recluses.

According to the article he gets good grades. He is a kid, so having fun is the most important thing. He has a sponser so that brings him money as well as more yoyos.

By the way, there have been studies that say many fighter pilots are better because of video games.

I think that is his tricks a pretty cool and I am going to you tube to check out some more.

Grant gets good grades, earns his own money, plays the piano and has a black belt in tae kwon do. He's found a hobby that he loves, has fun with and is good at. Sounds like an exceptionally well-rounded kid to me.

He's going to like Chico. It's a great town for the yo-yo championship and the National Yo-Yo Museum is located in this Northern California town.

We've been asking that the Breeze give us more stories like this in addition to the other types of news, and they listened. Sounds like an incredible kid. Go Grant!

This is a local paper Tom. Read the Los Angeles Times if you do not want to read these kind of stories. VA blows.
