Strong Waves Damaged Malibu Pier, PCH

The strong waves that damaged Malibu's landmark pier this month also ate away at rocks next to one section of Pacific Coast Highway, and repairs will start Monday. Caltrans issued a warning today that one eastbound lane on PCH will be closed for four hours Monday for one half mile at La Tuna Beach, at Malibu's eastern end between Big Rock and Topanga Creek.

Caltrans to Shut One Lane of PCH in Malibu Friday

One lane of southbound Pacific Coast Highway will be closed tomorrow in the Malibu area so Caltrans crews can move concrete barriers that are in danger of falling down eroded hillsides.
