Newsweek's 'top schools' includes 14 in east metro

And two StPPS ... Como Park and Central. St Paul Central is MN's oldest high school. Casey Jones (Roger Awsumb), Amelia Earhart, Dave Winfield and Charles Schulz all went to Central.

I agree ... Apple Valley I can see because it has StP zip codes and is mostly area code 651 but Lakeville is "West" to me.

North is on there but they listed is as "North High School of NSP." That's another mouthful like "Park of Cottage Grove." And why not Alexander Ramsey? Roseville Area makes it sound like farmers go there.

Hill-Murray and Mounds Park Aceademy are both very good schools, but perhaps only public schools are included. Wonder how these ranking would shake out if all schools, public, parochial, private, non-traditional, and charter were included?
But memory seems to indicate that the HM Pioneers don't submit their stats for surveys like this.....they just keep placing 92% of students in college, university, or military academies year after year after year.

Typically HM, MPA, Cretin, etc., skim off the top athletes and scholars. Amazing that the public schools can even compete. Luckily kids from families that don't have the money to send them to private or parochial schools can also be good athletes and scholars.
