Police: Shooting Death of Toddler Raises Gun Safety Concerns
The police chief in Mahomet says he's not commenting on the particular circumstances of this week's apparently accidental shooting death of an Urbana toddler by a teen-age relative.

Mahomet man reported injured in rural crash
According to a state police report, Tyler R. Barger, 27, of Mahomet was driving a 2003 Chrysler Concorde east on U.S. 150 about a half-mile west of Piatt County Road 900 E at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday when the vehicle left the road to the south, swerved back across the road, struck a guardrail and landed in a ditch on the north side of the road.
